Imago Museum is just a stone’s throw from us so the piazza del Sacro Cuore (and its important church of the same name) where the “Fanciulle d’Abruzzo” by the master Franco Summa are located, iconic and turned figures, the “Fanciulle” recall a kind and welcoming femininity, almost a goddess guardian of “mother Earth”.

You can enjoy other interesting works and cultural places to visit such as Museo Paparella Villa Urania or the brand new Museo dell’Ottocento of the persio-pallotta foundation with interesting world-class works.

If you are passionate about art and history, you cannot miss the Museo Cascella as well as our famous museum Genti d’Abruzzo or the house where the great poet Gabriele D’Annunzio was born, a true historical icon of Pescara

As well as offering places of culture, Pescara is also famous for its shopping, its beautiful shop windows and its meeting places, where you can enjoy good food and an immersive experience of local flavours.

You will get to know the food and wine culture of our land without having to travel a long way, in the streets of the citycentre, between Via Piave and Piazza Muzi (known as the merchandise area) and beyond, you will find a wide range of typical restaurants where you can undertake your journey of taste.

With your stomach full and satisfied with the excellent Abruzzo food, you can take a walk along our beautiful seafront promenade to the Ponte del Mare, where you can admire a beautiful view of the entire coastline. The “Ponte del Mare” has become, together with Piazza della Rinascita (Piazza Salotto for everyone), the symbol of Pescara since its inauguration in 2009.
